The Sound Doctor has been servicing Fort Collins, Colorado since 1976. The business has been an authorized service center for dozens of home audio brands such as Marantz & Yamaha. We still do things the “old school” way which includes our DOS based inventory & ticketing system (with dot matrix printers!). We retain a large inventory of paper service documents for reference alongside an extensive electronics parts selection. Our staff are trained on a wide variety of test equipment which we use to troubleshoot any problem.

I've been working in electronics for about 15 years, doing repairs professionally for 5. I started out working as a technician with portable hifi manufacturer CEntrance, then moved on to working with several A/V companies before I started my own repair business in 2020 (thanks COVID). Vintage stereo and hifi gear is my specialty, particularly receivers and integrated amplifiers, but have repaired / modded / upgraded countless guitar amplifiers (tube and solid state), mixers, effect pedals (including rare vintage pedals without service documentation), synthesizers, record players, reel-to-reels, cassette decks, and many more.
