Since 2014 we have serviced a variety of analog audio equipment, including tape recorders and cassette decks - for which we have the necessary test tapes/test cassettes, tension gauges, and specialty tools to properly service them. We have worked on many makes and models of both hifi and professional studio equipment. For oversized units (such as 24T-2" tape recorders) we provide service calls for onsite work. This service is available for the GTHA region of Southern Ontario.
In 2023 we were hired as part of a team to restore Les Paul's personal studio equipment to working condition. M² headed and completed the restoration of Les' tape machines, including 'The Octopus", which was the first 8-track audio tape recorder AMPEX built. We were also tasked to create all the documentation for the missing schematics and mods performed on the tape recorders and "The Monster" tube console.
