Just a few things about me, transparency for me is key.I work a full time job Monday to Friday that isn't repair, and generally im a pretty busy person. I have a 2 month time interval for when I am able to accept in work due to this. Prior to this job I was a full time audio technician of 5 years.
I take the quality of my work very seriously and nothing leaves my house unless it meets my own personal standards. I am very specific about the types of components I use as I choose them solely for their sound quality and durability in their respective applications. Every single piece receives long term evaluations in my personal systems to both verify longevity of the work and make sure everything sounds as it should.
I have broad experience but I have not worked on everything, just lots of the common models. Lots and lots of Pioneer and Marantz, there is usually at least one piece from each of those brands on my shelves at any given moment. Have also worked on quite a bit of tube equipment from brands like Harman Kardon, Mcintosh, Fairchild, Fisher, HH Scott, VTL, Dynaco, and more.
Bottom line: This for me is a passion and I genuinely love the craft of resurrecting these cool pieces of audio history. I will treat your unit like it is my own. The Speaker Port has been operating since 2016 as a small business and we specialize in the repair and restoration of pretty much all vintage audio equipment. We also take some work for some PA and automotive products. In addition to service work, we buy and sell equipment too. We sell primarily on eBay but also have products available on our website and in our shop. Were open Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and do take appointments during the weekday evenings. We are located in Crest Hill, IL and service the surround area. We do also make on-site visit within a reasonable distance.
